Final answer:

The Farmers' Alliance aimed to help struggling farmers make a profit by implementing initiatives such as farmers' co-operatives and advocating for monetary reform.

Explanation:

The main goal of the Farmers' Alliance was to help struggling farmers make a profit.

The alliance sought to improve farmers' economic conditions through initiatives such as farmers' co-operatives, negotiating better crop prices, and lowering costs for goods purchased. This included promoting collective action, advocating for monetary reform, and offering a vision of a 'cooperative commonwealth'.

Despite its growth to nearly 4 million members, the Farmers' Alliance excluded tenant farmers and African Americans, weakening its overall impact by failing to include substantial farmer subgroups.
