The statement that alcohol treatment options can vary depending upon the severity of an individual's alcohol problem is true. There are many treatment options available : support groups where individuals share their hope, experience and strength, and hope to to recover from alcoholism, pharmaceutical treatment for alcoholism (people who have stopped drinking can use medications to remain sober), individual sessions... Which treatment or combination of treatment will be used depends on the medical history of the person, the support system and personal motivation.
