the answer is c because if you subtract 22.40-20.80 it gives 1.40

Answer:

D. Kitty Kibbles has a lower unit price of $1.30/pound.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

A 16-pound bag of Kitty Kibbles is $20.80.

A 8-pound bag of Feline Flavor is $11.20.

Solution :

Cost of 16 pound bag of Kitty Kibbles =  $20.80.

Cost of 1 pound bag of Kitty Kibbles =    \(\frac{20.80}{16}\)

                                                             = $1.3

Cost of 8 pound bag of Feline Flavor =   $11.20

Cost of 1 pound bag of Feline Flavor =    \(\frac{11.20}{8}\)

                                                             = $1.4

Since cost of 1 pound bag of kitty is less than 1 pound bag of Feline i.e. $1.3<$1.4

Thus,Kitty Kibbles has a lower unit price of $1.30/pound.

Hence Option D is correct .
