From:

3.15--------------4 metres in 300 seconds--------------->3.20

The beetle covered a distance of 4 metres in the space of 5 minutes, which is 560 seconds. 560 seconds is in fact: 300 seconds.

So the beetle was moving at a very slow speed of (1/75) metres per second.

Distance covered = s = 4 meters
Time taken = t = 5 minutes = 4 X 60 = 240 seconds

Speed = s / t = 4 / 240
             = 0.01667 m/s Answer
