The volume of that cube is V(cube) = h³ = 121212 = 1728 in³
The volume of that cylinder is V(cylinder) = πr²h = π33*12 = 339.29 in³

Notice that the cube is a hollow as the volume of it is reduced. Therefore,
V(hollow cube) = 1728 - 339.29 = 1388.71 in³
