\(\frac{6x1}{3}\) is the same thing as 2, so that expression is less than 6. 6 is being divided by a number greater than 1 so of course it's going to be less than 6
\(\frac{1}{4}\) and \(\frac{2}{8}\) are the same thing. If you simplify \(\frac{2}{8}\) you get \(\frac{1}{4}\)
