AP US History question:

Determine to what extent Jefferson, after entering the White House, maintained or altered his earlier philosophy of government.

Verified Answer :

One could argue that Jefferson, after entering the White House as president, altered his earlier philosophy of government since he expanded the role of the Executive Brach, mostly by making an incredibly expensive land purchase (the Louisiana Purchase). Before becoming president he had favored "small" government.
