The fractions \(\frac{1}{8}, \frac{1}{10}, and \frac{1}{3}\) have a least common denomenator of 120. So their equilvelnt fractions are in order, \(\frac{15}{120}, \frac{12}{120}, and \frac{40}{120}.\) In this format it is easy to see that 15 is greater than 12 but less than 40.
