The correct option is: "c. principles of chivalry."

The book The Death of Arthur is the version of Sir Thomas Malory on the story of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, based on several English and French legends. Some parts of the book are original Malory material, while others are the interpretations that Malory gave to earlier stories. The book was first published in 1485 by William Caxton.
