The correct answer is A. He was the first American president to visit China, which opened the door to future possibilities.

Explanation:

Richard Nixon was the President of the U.S. from 1969 to 1974, after being a vice president from 1953 to 1961. During his Presidential period, Nixon addressed multiple foreign and domestic policies. In terms of foreign policy or the policies that determine the relationship between different countries, Nixon is mainly recognized for improving the relationships between the U.S. and China by visiting China and the head Chinese governer Zhou Enlai in 1972, which meant the relationships between both countries became closer and opened new possibilities in economic, political and social areas between both countries. Thus, it can be concluded one of the most important achievements in foreign policy during Nixon's presidency was that he was the first American president to visit China, which improved the relationship between both countries and opened the door for future possibilities.
