To answer this you would just multiply 43/5 because 4 people have 3/5 ink left. The easiest way to do that is change 3/5 into a decimal.
3/5 = 0.6
4
0.6 = 2.4
So, there are 2.4 markers worth of ink in the room.
Hope this helps!
