105 =w(w + 8)

105 = w² + 8w

0 = w² + 8w - 105

0 = (w + 15)(w -7)

0 = w + 15   or 0 = w -7

w = -15      or   w = 7

w = 7  and L = 7 +8

w = 7 and L = 15
