we need to find out the time in the air, t=√2y/a
where a is 9.8 m/s²
t=√ 2*(-78.4)/-9.8 m/s²= √ -156.80/ -9.8 =√16=4s

speed of the bullet will be

v=x/t= 2400/4= 600m/s
