which fraction is bigger 5/8 or 7/15
to compare, you need to bring them to a common denominator by mupliplying each by the denominator of the other one.
Like this:
\(\frac{5*15}{8*15}\)=\(\frac{75}{120}\)
and
\(\frac{7*8}{15*8}\)=\(\frac{56}{120}\)
and among the two, 75 is bigger than 56, so the first fraction (5/8) is bigger!
