2(4x-11) = 10
On dividing 2 on both sides
\(\frac{2(4x-11)}{2} = \frac{10}{2}\)
\(4x-11 = 5\)
On Adding 11 on both sides:
\(4x-11+11 = 11+5\)
\(4x = 16\)
On dividing both side by 4
\(\frac{4x}{4} = \frac{16}{4}\)
\(x = 4\)
Second way is:
We can use distributive property as
\(2(4x-11) = 10\)
\(2*4x- 2*11 = 10\)
\(8x - 22 = 10\)
On Adding 22 on both side
\(8x - 22+22 = 10+22\)
\(8x = 32\)
On dividing both side by 8
\(\frac{8x}{8} = \frac{32}{8}\)
\(x = 4\)
