The policy of apartheid started in South Africa , where whites could not mix together with the blacks (negroes). The negroes had to live separately in their own neighborhood and the children had to go to special schools , exclusively for blacks. They couldn't play with white children, go to the same cinemas or eat in the same snack-bar.Resuming this , they had to be totally apart from the blacks.
It finally ended when Nelson Mandella , a negro president, decided to establish equal rights for both races, permitting the blacks to have more freedom in their own country and giving them more liberty to participate in politics
