The basic numbers of the Leslie matrix are often (following the usual notations) :
\(n_x\), the number \(n\) of individuals of age \(x\),
\(s_x\), the percentage of individuals that remain from age \(x\) to \(x+1\),
\(f_x\), the per capita (average) number of individuals that get up to \(n_0\) born from an individual of age \(x\)
