What would happen to the supply of ATP in your cells if you did not eat enough carbohydrates? How would this affect your cells?
ATP supply will be reduced or decrease drastically.
ATP will be reduced because carbohydrates are energy given food. Chemical energy is in carbohydrates, therefore when they undergo digestion i.e breakdown of larger pieces into smaller pieces, it is broken down into glucose i.e energy is released.
Therefore, if there are now carbohydrates, ATP supply will be reduced and there won't be the energy needed for different cellular metabolic activities. The breakdown of carbohydrates supplies energy.
