we calculate this like this:
\(\frac{4}{100} *x=56\)
where x is the desired number. 4 percent of x is 56
\(\frac{4} *x=56*100\)
here i multiplied both sides by 100
\(x= \frac{56*100}{4}\)
I divided both sides by 4, then on the left hand side only x is left!
\(x= \frac{56*25}{4}\)
\(x= 1400\)
The answer is 1400
