An easier way to do this would be by decimals. 3/4 converts to 0.75 as a decimal. A square has equal sides so you have four 0.75. Now just multiply 0.75 by four, and you get 3ft as the perimeter.

\(a-length\ of\ side\ of\ a\ square\\perimeter\ of\ a\ square:P_{\fbox{}}=4\cdot a\\------------------------\\a=\frac{3}{4}\ ft\\\\therefore\\\\P_{\fbox{}}=4\cdot\frac{3}{4}\ ft= ot4^1\cdot\frac{3}{ ot4_1}\ ft=1\cdot\frac{3}{1}\ ft=\boxed{3\ ft}\)
