Final answer:

The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, signed between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union, doomed Poland by dividing it between the two nations.

Explanation:

The secret agreement that doomed Poland was the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact signed on August 23, 1939, between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. This pact included provisions to divide Poland between the two nations, leading to the Soviet invasion of Poland from the east and the German invasion from the west, thereby sealing Poland's fate.

In addition, the pact was crucial for Hitler as it neutralized the eastern threat, allowing him to focus on his western conquests without the fear of a two-front war.
