Answer:

To compare the pairings of Davis/Aza and Daisy/Mychal from "Turtles All the Way Down" by John Green:

Contrast between Davis/Aza and Daisy/Mychal:

Davis and Aza's relationship is characterized by a deep understanding and connection, despite the challenges they face individually. Davis accepts Aza's struggles with her mental health, while Aza appreciates Davis's genuine concern and care for her. This contrast with Daisy and Mychal's relationship, which is more superficial and lacks the depth and understanding present in Davis and Aza's bond.

Supporting quote: "The thing about Davis, though, was that he wanted me to be okay. [...] He kept waiting for me to be okay, and I kept waiting for him to realize that I wasn’t. [...] He kept waiting, but I never got better, and neither did the waiting." (Page 247)

Similarities between Aza and Noah:

Aza and Noah both struggle with mental health issues, albeit in different forms. Aza battles with anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder, while Noah deals with depression. Despite their different experiences, they share a common understanding of the challenges and complexities of living with mental illness.

Supporting quote: "Noah wasn’t him, and he’d never be him, but I felt like I could be whoever I was with Noah, that I could say whatever I needed to say, and that Noah would get it." (Page 136)
