Final answer:

The absence of Greco-Roman literature would significantly alter Western thought and our perception of the world.

Explanation:

Western thought would have significantly different characteristics without the influence of Greco-Roman literature. This literature has been foundational in shaping philosophical ideas, political systems, and cultural norms in the Western world.

The absence of Greco-Roman literary influence could lead to a shift in how we perceive the world. Concepts such as democracy, the ideal of the hero, and the value of reason could be altered or absent from Western thought.

For instance, without the literary works of Plato, Aristotle, or Virgil, Western philosophy and political theory might have developed along vastly different paths.
