The rock cycle is how Earth's rocks change over time. There are 3 main rock types:
Igneous: Hot, melted rock that cools and hardens. Think of lava!
Sedimentary: Pieces of other rocks that get squished together. Like tiny pebbles turning into stone.
Metamorphic: Rock that gets squeezed and baked by Earth's heat and pressure, changing its form. Like crumpling paper into a ball.
These rocks change between each other through weathering (breaking down), erosion (moving around), and melting.
