what is the function of the phrase in parenthesis in the sentence?

A appositive with essential information

B adjective prepositional phrase

C adverb prepositional phrase

D appositive with nonessential information

Verified Answer :

The answer is B. adjective prepositional phrase.

It's not an appositive because it's not renaming anything, and it's adjective since it's describing the diner and not an action. The preposition here is "in"
