To change a mixed number to a improper fraction, first multiply the whole number by the denominator, then add the numerator;the denominator stays the same.

\(-3 \frac{5}{7}= \frac{-3*7+5}{7}= \frac{-16}{7}\)

I think the choices are wrong
The answer is -16/7
