no there not , times is multiplying Ex; 1x2=2 while dividing is seeing how many times something can go into something else ex 10/2=5
times means2 times 3 means 3+34 times of 3=3+3+3+3divide is 4 divided into 2 parts=26 divided into 3 parts=3but you could multiply by a fraction and essensially dividethey are different
