The correct answer is D. The Russian Revolution

Explanation:

George Orwell was an English writer that lived during the 20th century mainly known for writing about politics and especially writing against social injustice and totalitarianism in works such as "Animal Farm" and "Nineteen Eighty Four". In his novel "Animal Farm" published in 1945 Orwell uses the animals of a farm and creates a plot using them to criticize the totalitarianism and other negative aspects of the Russian Revolution that took place in 1917 including the cause of this event and the features of the era that followed this event or the Stalinist Era as Orwell believed this has led to oppression and brutality. Therefore, the plot of George Orwell's Animal Farm is based on the Russian Revolution.
