minus 9 on both sides
15x=27
divide both sides my 15
x=1.8

1)  15x-9=36
2)  15x=36+9       (Add 9 to both sides)
3)  15x=45           (Add together 36 and 9)
4)  x=3                 (Divide both sides by 15)
