\((2(8)-12)+( \frac{1}{2}(8)(2)-10)\)

You can use PEMDAS to solve from there.

\((16-12)+( \frac{1}{2}(16)-10) 4+(-2)\)

What does 4 plus negative 2 equal?...

\(4+(-2)=2\)

The answer is 2 :)
