The correct answer is B. Wanting to add their own perspective or bias to the writing

Explanation:

Historians are the people who study the history of human and even all history before human existence, for doing this most historians study artifacts and other elements of the past and later report their finding in writing that describe the way events could have taken place during a specific age or related to a specific event in the past. Considering the writings of historians are based on artifacts from the past and the interpretation of those artifacts or elements, historians can find difficulties in avoiding their own preferences, opinions and preconceptions have an influence on the interpretation of evidence and the process of writing, as they can omit certain parts of the evidence, mistranslate documents or change the evidence, providing a bias writing instead of a writing that reports the evidence in an objective way. Thus, one difficult position historians can find themselves in is wanting to add their own perspective or bias to the writing as their opinions, ideas, expectations, and preconceptions can influence the work of the historian and lead to non-objective writings.

Answer:

wanting to disguise the truth they have uncovered.

Explanation:

Historians and any researcher can unfortunately intentionally distort some records.

In the case of distortion, illegitimate techniques can be used and presented as a proper historical document. If original genuine documents are changed, and manipulation of statistics or mistranslating sources ; all of the mentioned will hide the facts.

For better clarifying, some of the topics like -Holocaust denial have been manipulated, much like the Soviet crimes denials, or the Armenian Genocide.

Some organizations make worlwide surveillance on promoting conscience on these events so they wont be denied.

In all of these cases, authors deliberately carry an effort to present information as legitimate while their interest is politically or interested based.

So historians sometimes will be unwilling to accept the truth or reject it and will find a way to convince themselves of something else.
