convert it into fraction=537/100 then do the long division = 5  and 37 over 100

a decimal is basically a fraction written in a decimal form they either have 10, 100, 1000, etc. as their denominator it depends mostly on their decimal placement so 

5.37 as a fraction would be 5 37/100 it would be a mixed number
