If n=5, then substitute the value in every equation,

a) 6 - 5 = 1
b) 17 - 3(5) = 17 - 15 = 2
c) 3(5) - 4 = 15 - 4 = 11
d) 6(5) - 14 = 30-14 = 16

Hope this helps!
