An occluded front moves over farmland that has been experiencing drought conditions, the change in weather will this front likely bring - D. an extended period of rain

An Occluded Front forms when a warm air mass gets caught between two cold air masses.

  • The warm air mass rises as the cool air masses push and meet in the middle.
  • if an occluded front moves over farmland that has been in a drought then the cold air mass from the cold front meets the cool air that was ahead of the warm front.
  • it will cause an extended period of rain in the farmland.
  • The warm air rises as these air masses come together.

Thus, An occluded front moves over farmland that has been experiencing drought conditions, the change in weather will this front likely bring - D. an extended period of rain.
