The length of AB in the given figure is 5 units.
What is Pythagoras theorem?
It states that the sum of squares of base and perpendicular is equal to the length of hypotenuse in a right angle triangle.
Formula:
\(\sqrt{(base)^{2} + (perpendicular)^{2} } = Hypotenuse\)
Given:
base = 3 units
perpendicular = 4 units
using Pythagoras theorem:
\(\sqrt{(3)^{2} + (4)^{2} } = 5\)
Hence the final result, the length of AB is 5 units.
