20/4 I guess ^^; just like finding the gradient on a graph can tell you the velocity on a distance time graph so the answer would be 5m/s if they asked you to work that out I hope that helps ^^;

The rate is the average function change given by:

f_average = f(b)- f(a)/ b - a

from graph:

b =  16

f(b) = 80

a = 4

f(a) = 20

You can take any two pairs.

f_average = 80 - 20/ 16 - 4= 60/12 = 5

which is 20/4

You can think of it in terms of slope too.
