Slope between two points is:

P1 = (1, -3) 
P2 = (5,9)

\(\frac{Δy}{Δx}\)  = \(\frac{9 + 3}{5 - 1} = 12/4 = 3\)

\(\frac{Δy}{Δx}\)  = \(\frac{18 + 6}{-5 + 1} = 24/-4 = -6\)
