How is energy transferred from the sun to the earth
The sun sends a short wave in trip right through the atmosphere to the Earth. When it reaches the target point it heats the Earth which in turn heats the atmosphere
Heat energy from the sun reaches the earth through a heat transfer which is also known as radiation.
