the dash us used as a summary

Answer:

The answer is summary.

Explanation:

The dash has some specific purposes when being used: it indicates emphasis, or how a sudden change, or an interruption. In this case, it is used to summarize the things that cannot replace inner peace since those things (fame, fortune, possessions) are linked to the last part of the statement.
