Every time my aunt comes to visit, she tells us an anecdote about her childhood, such as the time when she dressed her dog in her baby doll’s clothes.

What does the word anecdote mean?

Aa short, amusing story
Ba funny imaginary tale
Ca long, interesting joke
Da brief factual account

The answer is A.

It can't be B because it's not an imaginary tale since it's about her childhood. Not a long and interesting joke because it's about her childhood, and not a joke. And not D because it's not factual.

An anecdote is a short, amusing story.

Hope this helps.
