The answer is D. You took the 12 and multiplied it to x and 4. Try this:


12(x)+12(4)

Distributive Property

12(x+4)= 12x+48 because 12x=12x and 124= 48 so if you distribute 12 to everything in the parenthesis you get 12x+48
