Use the slope formula to calculate the slope of the line that contains the two points (-4, 0) and (5, 2).

Verified Answer :

If the slope formula is \(\frac{ y_{1}- y_{2} }{ x_{1}- x_{2} }\) all you have to do is plug in the points:

\(\frac{0-2}{-4 -5}\) = \(\frac{-2}{-9}\) = \(\frac{2}{9}\)

or

\(\frac{2-0}{5-(-4)}\) = \(\frac{2}{9}\)

Either way your slope is going to be \(\frac{2}{9}\)
