\((x-1)(x+2) = 5(x-1)\)
\(x^{2} +2x-x-2=5x-5\)
\(x^{2} +2x-x-5x=2-5\)
\(x^{2} -4x=-3\)
\(x^{2} -4x+3=0\)
\((x-3)(x-1)=0\)
so, x=3 and x=1
