Hey Thesmartblonde!

Beowulf's self assurance is revealed when he refuses to use weapons to fight the monster Grendel. He is confident and believes in his ability to fight and win against Grendel, without having to use any weapons! Therefore the answer to your question is, B.

Hope this helps!

In this  Old English poem we can read how Beowulf proudly asserted: "When it comes to fighting, I count myself / as dangerous any day as Grendel" after having removed his iron breast mail and weapons to the battle with the evil creature. His knowing himself a skilled warrior in the arts  of war is a demonstration of his self-assurance. The right answer to the question is option B.
