In order to accurately answer any fraction, it is best to have a common denominator (bottom of the fraction)
Since in \(\frac{45}{100}\), 100 is the denominator, you need to make the other fraction with the same denominator
So Multiply \(\frac{6}{10}\) by \(\frac{10}{10}\)
\(\frac{6}{10} * \frac{10}{10} = \frac{60}{100}\)
So \(\frac{45}{100} < \frac{60}{100}\) or \(\frac{45}{100} < \frac{6}{10}\)
You can do this another way which involves the opposite way of multiplying which is by dividing
Since you have to get a common denominator to measure accurately no matter what, you can divide
One thing to know is that when dividing fractions, both the denominator and numerator have to be divided by a factor to be divided and result in a whole number
\(\frac{45}{100}\)÷\(\frac{5}{5}\) = \(\frac{9}{20}\)
So just have to multiple \(\frac{6}{10} by \frac{2}{2}\)
\(\frac{6}{10} * \frac{2}{2} = \frac{12}{20}\)
\(\frac{9}{20} < \frac{12}{20}\)
\(\frac{9}{20}\)⇒\(\frac{45}{100}\)
\(\frac{12}{20}\)⇒\(\frac{6}{10}\)
The results are the same \(\frac{45}{100} < \frac{6}{10}\)
Again \(\frac{6}{10}\) is greater than \(\frac{45}{100}\)
