To find out what one side measures you will have to take the square root of the Area.

\(\sqrt{16} =4\)

To find out surface area of the cube you use the formula \(A=6 a^{2}\), where a = side.

Therefore,
\(A=6 (4^{2})\)
\(A=6 (16)\)
\(A=96cm^{2}\)
