The correct answer is C. The Three Non-Nuclear Principles were intended to keep Japan from ever developing or using nuclear weapons.

After the fall of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima, on August 6, 1945, and in Nagasaki three days later, Japan, in 1967, adopted what are known as the Three Non-Nuclear Principles:

-Principle of non-production of nuclear weapons: with this principle, Japan undertakes not to manufacture any type of nuclear weapon.

-Principle of non-possession of nuclear weapons: in this way, at no time will Japan be supplied with nuclear-type weapons.

-Principle of non-authorization of nuclear weapons on its territory: with the objective that no neighboring country can be supplied with nuclear-type weapons.
