The right answer is C. Progressive Movement
The Progressive Movement is based on the idea that the improvement of the human condition can only be achieved via the development of science, technology, and economic development. In this context, we can find the work of Washington Gladden (1836-1918). He was a US Congregational pastor and was one of the leading members of the Progressive Movement. His ideas are in consonant with the ideas of the movement. He believed the American workforce should be unionized in order to achieve its goals and have a bargaining force against exploitation. And also, as a defendant of the movement, he strongly criticized the idea of racial segregation diffused in American society.
