To understand an author's purpose for writing, one has to look at the writing from the author's point of view. To do this, one has to consider the theme of the text, the author's use of language, the author's attitude towards the topic and the author's approach to discussing the topic. All these considered together will reveal the author's perspective to the topic. The correct options are A, D, E, and F.
