  1. Is Jonas’s assignment as the next Receiver of Memory an honor or a punishment?

Paragraph & (The Giver) Lois Lowry

Verified Answer :

Well, it has only few negatives but also serious and important positives.

1) Negative: Jonas is not allowed to discuss his assignment nor his training with his friends, family, and everyone else.

2) Positive: The Giver and the Receiver (Jonas) is the only ones who can understand. They have the privilege to see beyond with the memories which show emotion, colors, music, places, and weather changes. That don't exist in their community because of sameness.

I hope this helps with your answer:)
